Scientists from Scotland have come up with new findings. They claim that men who have problems with sperm production and infertility, or to be more exact – men who have problems with low sperm count, motility or mobility should blame the lifestyle of their mothers. Scientists namely claim that the lifestyle choices of their mothers while these men were in the womb has much more influence than the lifestyle choices these men make later in life.

Exercising during Pregnancy? Prenatal Workout: Yes or No?
Saturday, February 27th, 2010When woman is trying to conceive, it is recommended to perform low impact aerobic workout, especially if she is exercising regularly she should be able to safely continue with workout routine.
There are several studies available that support these claims. For example, a research at Columbia University School of Public Health found that fit women in healthy, low-risk pregnancies, who performed exercise at least one hour daily, three times a week, improved their pregnancy outcome and increased the birth weight of their baby by about 5%.
Several studies also proved that women who exercise before and during pregnancy have decreased the risk of delivering prematurely by as much as 50%.

Folic acid
Folic acid sometimes also called folate belongs to a group of B vitamins. Folic acid is essential in preventing birth defects, but it has also been shown that folic acid improves fertility in men and women. Recommended daily amount is 400mcg, and folic acid is found in green leafy vegetables such as broccoli, kale and spinach. Folic acid is present in oranges as well as enriched grains.
It is very important to consume folic acid in early pregnancy since it reduces the risk of a birth defect involving incomplete development of the brain and spinal cord, which is a very serious neural tube defect by up to 70%.
