Polycystic ovarian syndrome is one of the most common disorders in women of childbearing age in the United States. The disorder happens because the ovaries make too much androgen (male hormone) which could be the result of an overproduction of luteinizing hormones. PCOS causes a woman to experience irregularity of the menstrual cycle, weight gain and excessive hair growth and is a common cause of infertility in women. (more…)
