Part of the reason for that is that implantation bleedings worry many women, and while they have heard about implantation bleeding, they have no idea what to expect from it. One of the most common questions when it comes to this subject is, “How on earth do I know whether I’m having an implantation bleeding, or my period?” (more…)

Luteal Phase Defect (LPD): Cause of Infertility

I have described in several other articles what luteal phase is, for this reason I am not going to repeat this again, you may read it on the link above.

Luteal phase is also referred as secretory phase or days past ovulation (or DPO), and this is for a reason. Luteal phase is actually the phase in a menstrual cycle that starts after ovulation and ends with the first day of next menstrual bleeding or hopefully with pregnancy. The length of the luteal phase actually   determines the time of ovulation within your menstrual cycle.

Luteal phase is that time of the month when woman’s egg develops and is released with the next menstrual cycle.
The luteal phase is named after the corpus luteum, which in Latin means yellow body. It symbolizes a structure that grows on the surface of the ovary where a mature egg was released at ovulation. This yellow body produces progesterone, and is preparing the body for pregnancy. (more…)
