Endometriosis is a disease in which endometrial tissues grow in other areas of the female body. The symptoms of the condition will vary from one woman to another and one of the most prevalent being chronic pelvic pain. It does not matter how long a woman has been taking the pill, whether it is for one year or more, physicians recommend a woman waits for 1-3 months prior to trying to conceive. Many women that are worried about conceiving after being on the pill should consult with a physician in order to determine the best timeframe in which to become pregnant. Trying to get pregnant after the pill for some women will happen rather quickly for others it could take as long as six months or more.

There are many couples all over the nation struggling with conceiving a baby and at a loss as to know what to do about it. These couples might spend thousands of dollars on the latest fertility treatments and procedures in hopes of becoming pregnant, only to be faced another month with a negative result on a pregnancy test. There are a great number of things that a woman might face when trying to conceive a baby. Sadly, with so many people, both men and women, having to face a struggle with weight, excess pounds can be a deterrent to conception. People know deep down that being overweight is not healthy, but for women trying to become pregnant the extra weight can possibly hinder or even impair fertility.

There are many things a couple struggling to conceive would be willing to try out in order to become pregnant. Some women follow the advice of their friends or mother, some try natural or holistic methods like acupuncture or yoga and there are others that believe in certain old wives tales. Everyone knows deep down that no amount of advice, special herbs or folklore is going to have any drastic bearing on a couple’s ability to conceive, it is as much an art as it is a physical science.

I fully believe stress is what was responsible for our infertility. Doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with us other than my husband’s semen sample showed low volume, count and motility. We are young. I’m in my late 20s. He’s in early 30s. We’re classic overachievers which is classic reason for constant stress, and infertility only made us more type A. It was even worse for my husband. He had given up a son for adoption many years ago and had always regretted it.
