Hi, 

 

 Needing some ideas/help here. My last cycle started Nov 27 of 2011 and ended a few short days later(around Dec 2.) My husband and I are trying to conceive and I have been off my BC pills for a little bit before then and have been after. I had one day of light spotting around Dec 15th. along with other symptoms(nausea, breast tenderness, fatigue, etc). No cycle since the last one. But all the tests I've taken are negative. Even the ones at the doctors office. Could I just have low hCG? 

 

Some insight on this would be appreciated.

Hi,

That could be all kinds of things, couldn't it? I can think of loads of possibilities here. One of them is just weird cycles because of coming off the pill, and obviously your hormone levels have to get back to normal after being on the pill for a while.

It can happen that you are pregnant but tests come up negative but I think that is VERY rare. If in doubt and you haven't had a cycle for like two months then you should prob ask your doctor to do an ultrasound to make sure.

It's funny because of the symptoms all add up for pregnancy but not positive test. Good luck in any case.
