Hi all

I am a new mother and I have a lovely newborn girl. I am afraid I can't breastfeed, my milk supply isn't coming in properly. I had a breast reduction years ago and I am convinced that the two are connected. Anyway, my baby is two weeks old now and although she is a bundle she is puking up her normal formula all the time. Now I have heard that there are special formula that stop vomiting. I'd like some advice from the more experienced parents before I see the pediatrician about it.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your trouble, first with breastfeeding and now with your poor vomiting baby. I just wanted to reply to you and say that you should definitely bring this problem up with your doctor. There are numerous reasons for excessive vomiting, but it can be quite dangerous; think of stuff like dehydration and malnutrition.

I wish I had some more advice for you, but I can't say anything about different types of formula because I have only ever breastfed. But, I do know that now is the time to talk to your pediatrician about these issues and to receive a proper diagnosis.
